update
Ezekiel is getting to be such a big boy. He weighs in at 15 pounds now! We have had to pack away so many cute outfits (many that he never even got to wear) as he is now in 3-6 month clothes. He is learning "fake-fussing". I still get a kick out of it. If he isn't get his way with something, he sticks out his little bottom lip and then makes this ahh-ahh-ahh noise that scares him if he does it too loud. Of course, he is only 9 weeks old - I imagine I'll be pretty sick of it by the time he is, say, 2.
We also had to take care of his co-sleeper. His arms were touching both sides and since he is moving now, we would wake up to find his face pressed into the side of the sleeper. It has been difficult moving him to his big boy crib. He doesn't like it and it makes me so sad to see him swimming in this huge crib. He is still in our bedroom though, so that makes it easier on me to be able to see him from my bed.
Here he is in his big boy crib. You can tell he isn't too sure of things (this is the first moment when he was laid down in it for the first time)

He did finally pass out and sleep for a half hour in the crib. Then we put him in his swing to sleep. The next morning, he refused to sleep in either. I laid him in bed with me and Marty and apparently all three of us passed out. This is me waking up to find the little turd sleeping soundly in our bed

and this one is just one I'm including because I thought Beckie (my sister) looks so pretty holding Ezekiel:

Now that's huge!
People don't really understand when we talk about our "big" cat L.E. They think...15 pounds? no? 17 pounds? no?
Let's try 30 pounds of massive cat puddle of beef. He has a jiggle time that rivals Homer Simpsons. To demonstrate his little "problem" here is a pic that Marty shot....of Ezekiel and L.E. Keep in mind - Ezekiel is a human; L.E. is not.

Ezekiel is 5.5 weeks today
He is growing so fast. Weighing in at a chubby chubster cheeks 12 lbs! (Did I mention that I've lost 36 lbs since having him?) Today, he and I spent the day out shopping. What a great little guy! I try to keep him entertained throughout the day in hopes that it will help him sleep at night. It usually doesn't work. Last night, I think he went to bed at about 6:30am. He was back up by 7:30. In two weeks, I go back to work. I do not know what I will do, especially with Marty not getting home until late late at night. I went into work tonight to see everyone and talk to my boss about coming back. My boss is being so great - she is actually going to let Ezekiel come in for an hour a day (after Marty goes to work but I am still at work).
Anyway, I thought this pic was sweet as pie - I took it last night and thought I'd share:

Mommy & Ezekiel - Bath Time
Disclaimer: this blog is decidedly R-Rated. There is at least one full frontal nudity shot (of Ezekiel, not me). There are some shots that include my belly - just ignore them. Seriously, if your stomach muscle was sliced through, you wouldn't be able to suck it in for photos either!
If you are offended by nudity, you may want to click your back button and click on one of my other, less offensive posts. If you are offended by Extreme Cuteness, you may want to tap the back button furiously to escape this post as it is so oozing of cuteness it just may spray cute-juice all over the entire inter-web as we know it.
As a side note, if you are actually viewing this post, it means you are on my preferred list so I'm thinking that a) you are not easily offended b) you love cute things and hate mean things and c) I don't believe you are a pedophile.
So, on with the post!!! I've mentioned how much Ezekiel loves his baths. They help ease his fussing tremendously. I get in the bath with him, cradle his little head and he spreads out eagle-style and snores for about 45 minutes. I love this relaxed side of him. He actually spreads out his toes and occasionally sticks them out of the water and waggles them around (just like his Daddy does). So here are some pictures to share his cuteness.
This is Ezekiel staring up at me, getting ready to go into full on relax mode:

sleeping arrangement
We have a king size bed. I am not a restful sleeper so this has always been necessary. Ezekiel has TWO beds. One is a beautiful sleigh crib in his own bedroom (we haven't let him sleep in there yet because it isn't in our room and because we can't seem to regulate the temp in there and it is always freezing!) the other is an Arm's Reach Co-sleeper that I just needed to have so my sister Mandy paid the $130 for it for my babyshower. Here is a picture:

Notice how empty it is. This is because Ezekiel has decided he likes to sleep elsewhere:

yes - my king size bed. Sandwiched right between me and Marty on his own special cosleeper (it really is a cosleeper, just designed to use on a big-kid bed). That way, he needs only squawk when he loses his Nuk or needs his bottle, or maybe a diaper change, or wants to hold hands, etc..etc...etc.....
