Squirrel!

Ezekiel got to see a squirrel for the first time today. Not just any squirrel - but the neighborhood chubster; the begging squirrel named "Hammy". Ezekiel was amazed by the idea of a creature that isn't a cat. Here he is looking at Hammy through our window (shot from the back so you can see the proximity of Hammy):

BBQ

Today we had went to an awesome BBQ. Ezekiel "dipped" his toes in the grass and then cried - repeatedly. Apparently he was weirded out by the new and different sensations. Finally, he relaxed and sat and played in the grass. I forgot my memory card for my cam, so I only had the internal memory stick - so there weren't many pics to choose from. Here are the best ones:

Ezekiel's Day

Ezekiel had sort of a rough day. Tomorrow is my sister's baby shower at my mom's house and my mom asked me to go over to clean her carpets and help her cook. This all took a long time...hours long...and E. just was not happy. His little eyes were beat red from being exhausted; he cried himself silly, but he would not fall asleep. We got him home around 10 tonight and he passed out. We didn't even get in a diaper change or p.j.s on him.

A.N.T.M.

My sister Beckie asked if she could "borrow" Ezekiel today. We were unsure of what we were in for, but we weren't expecting this! It seems that she is making dresses for the twins but had to check the size and the placement of the straps and wanted to use Ezekiel as her "model". He is not looking impressed by the dress-wearing adventure.

Playing outside is fun!

Ezekiel and I played in the grass today (it was his first experience with grass). At first, Ezekiel wouldn't sit down - he just wanted to stand there with his bare toes wrapped around the grass. Finally, he sat down and played in the grass.



Ezekiel is getting a temper. He likes to growl at me - I think he is trying to assert his dominance. This is right after I put him in his seat (he doesn't like me to put him down either......all...day...long....)

Cinco de Mayo plus One

A few of "belly time". Not sure if it is really belly time anymore. It is more like, "Ezekiel rolling around getting into trouble" time now. You can tell he is impressed with himself.

Trip to Winthrop

Today, Marty, Ezekiel, and I took a trip around Winthrop. We wanted to shoot photos of Ezekiel in front of each of the apartment buildings that we used to live in at the beginning our mine and Marty's relationship/marriage. We parked down at the lake and showed E. the waterfront (it was cold down there today!) Then we walked down Green Street, Main Street, swung by Seth's place (he wasn't home) and then back up Summer Street to the lake again. I think Ezekiel's favorite part was doing pop-a-wheelies over the train tracks.
