Sunday already?

It feels like this weekend just started when in fact it is just about done. Sad.

We are all tired here. Ezekiel had his four shots on Thursday and he just hasn't been his old self since. He has had meltdowns of a caliber that I had not experienced yet. As Marty just said, "Ezekiel, you are a big bucket of fuss today".

I did manage to snap some photos of us this afternoon while rolling around our livingroom...you can tell we are exhausted.

Here is E. with his newly discovered blankie. He just loves it.

Update on the E-Man

Ezekiel had his 4 month check up today with Dr. Tony. He weighs 19.8 lbs and is 26.5 inches. He falls into the 98th % of both. Dr. Tony took one look at him and said "whoa. That kid is a bruiser! What have you been feeding him?"

I got in trouble with Dr. Tony for having Ezekiel still sleep in the bed with me. It would have been me and Marty getting in trouble except Marty sided with Dr. Tony and they ganged up on me. Dr. Tony says that if we don't get E. out of our bed now, he will still be sleeping there when he is 2 or 3 years old. I say whether he gets out of my bed now or later - he won't be there when he is 16! Plus, he is so comfortable in our bed and it is so easy to do things like feed him when he wakes up!

Ezekiel had to have 4 shots today. It is terrible when they get the shots. The nurses do two at a time (one in each leg). E. sobbed like I have never heard him sob before. He is sound asleep now (in my bed) with no fever or anything so that is just wonderful. After the shots, we all went on a five mile hike and E. slept almost the entire time. He woke up just long enough to "meet" two pups on the trail.

Ezekiel did a full roll tonight! His first that was fully intended. Only problem was, I got so excited that I started yelling and clapping and scared the crap out of him. He cried; I soothed; he didn't roll again.

Well, as my intention was to go to bed early tonight, I'm heading back in.....

Greek Restaurants are Delicious

So, you may have noticed the lack of pictures of Ezekiel as of late. Funny story that. I carry the camera (new Kodak easy share, 7.1 mega pixels...) every where i go in the diaper bag. Recently, while carrying the camera and expressed milk, the milk leaked - EVERY WHERE. Including the camera's view finder and the display. Now, it is impossible to take pics as you can't see anything through the view finder and nothing on the display. It will cost $80 to have it fixed and it will be gone from our hands for an indiscriminate amount of time. I did manage to snap a shot today though (I still carry the cam with me every where I go). After church today, we went to a Greek restaurant. My mom decided to "serve up" Ezekiel on the table and I snapped a shot as he was roll, rolling away... (no, his fist is not part of the Greek fare)

Ezekiel Loves Naked Kung-Fu

Our son has more than one of our traits already. For one, he hates to be in clothes. For two, he may just grow up to be a Pirate-Ninja-Hero-TrainRobber. You never know with these things.

Tonight, he finds "kung-fu" performed by Marty to be particularly funny. (some day, he will probably be pretty upset that I posted his baby wee-nus on the interweb.....but it is really just to my preferred list)

a sick day

Ezekiel doesn't feel well today. He has been running a slight temp of about 100.4 and he is SO cranky. I don't know if it is due to teething or a bug. He even sobbed when I put him in his Jumperoo. The only time he laughed was late tonight while Marty and I were both home. Marty was holding him and I made up a little ditty and a dance to go with the song. E. thought that was hilarious for about 5 minutes, but then the little lip poked out at me and the tears started again.

On a brighter note, I have *finally* finished his website for GrandDaddy Jack. I hit a bunch of snags due to pictures and videos being too large, but I finally got everything figured out (without having to rely heavily on our beechill account!)

Here are a couple of pictures of E. from tonight. The first one, he is playing...sort of. He doesn't quite have the energy to fully enjoy himself.

This next one is of him passed out on Daddy's lap.....before the huge puke session in which we had to change his p.j.s

April Fool's Day

We bought Ezekiel a couple of puppets so that Marty and I can put on puppet shows for him. We bought him the puppy and the goat from the Little Einstein movies. Last night, we "introduced" them to him. I was the goat and Marty was the puppy. Apparently, I was a little too overzealous and scared the crap out of my child. I was pretty upset with it until Marty pointed out that it would be pretty scary to suddenly have a blue and black thing with horns directly in your face bleating at the top of its lungs (I was particularly proud of my bleat).

Last night, it was like something clicked with Ezekiel and he finally "gets" laughing. He thinks that Marty is hilarious (and he didn't even have to bleat). Here is a video (it is a long one and may not be loadable for the dial up users):
