Ezekiel had his 6 month appointment today with Dr. Tony. He is 27.75 inches long (90th %) and 22 lbs, 9 oz (hehe. 98th %). Tony said he looks awesome and he said "Ezekiel is like working with a really advanced 9 month old". Dr. Tony got such a kick out of Ezekiel's feet (he said "they are so BIG!" then he kissed them and made Ezekiel giggle like crazy). He was impressed with Ezekiel's eating (how can you not be? The kid eats everything from kiwi to tofu).
Ezekiel had to have three shots - he was such a little trooper. I forgot his Nuk at home so I figured he was just going to have this massive breakdown after the shots were done. As soon as the nurses were done, I leapt across the table and scooped him up and started cuddling him and kissing him. He looked at the nurses, stuck his bottom lip out at them, then grabbed me by the face, kissed me, and stopped crying. He is such an awesome kid. I wish you could all meet him in person.

Bedtime was 2 hours ago
Ezekiel is currently watching Marty play Mario 64 (on the Wii). He is deeply impressed and equally enthralled. He hasn't really "experienced" t.v. yet, but you wouldn't know that by the glazed, totally professional, vacant t.v. stare he has on right now. He is supposed to be sleeping. But he's not.....
Here he is waving "Hi" to you:

Daddy decided to munch Mommy's monkeys to make Ezekiel laugh. He loves tickles:

June 23rd is National Pink Day!
Don't forget to celebrate the Pink Thang in your life.
We tried to take family portraits again today (family portraits entail Marty and me sitting on the floor trying to hold a squirmy Ezekiel. One of us - Marty or me - try taking the picture by holding the camera about a foot from our faces and roughly aiming).
Here's the first shot - blurred, out of focus, a little silly:

And, here's the second shot. Ezekiel decided at that moment he NEEDED a kissy:

Aunt Beckie came over today and spent some quality time with Ezekiel. Ezekiel gets quite the kick of Beckie's noises (I'm partial to the dying horse sounds she makes). She also brought him over a little treatie that he enjoyed (I think she is going for the Favorite Aunt title - you better watch it Mandy, Angie, and Feather!)
Ezekiel is becoming increasingly more mobile. If he sees something he wants, he finds a way to get it. The latest thing that he enjoys is if we stand him against the couch so he can just hang out. Sometimes he will just stand there for 15 or more minutes playing (we are never far away in case he loses his balance - as you will be able to tell by how much Marty jumps into the camera on these videos). Ezekiel's Nana says that he is so good at standing up because 'he is fat'...I say it is because he is extremely coordinated and determined. This first video is of him hanging out back to the camera:
Then, we turn him around, hand him a wipey to play with and catch him when he tumbles:

Friday Night!
So it's a Friday night about 7:00. I think this picture explains my lifestyle perfectly:

I have to admit, they did both have tough weeks. Marty got a promotion - which was really tough on his brain preparing for the answer either way and Ezekiel rode a tractor - which was equally tough in different ways. I don't have any pictures of Marty finding out about his promotion, but I do have these really great pics of E. riding his tractor at Grammy's:

And...last but not least....here is a picture of Ezekiel finding out about his Da's promotion. "Wow! Da! Great! Job!" he says:

Ezekiel's preemie cousins
I got to go to the NICU and meet the twins today. They are now over 3 lbs each and 14 inches long. They are so perfect and teeny tiny! Their hands are like the size of quarters. Their perfect little heads are the size of the top of a bottle of Parmesan cheese. It is awesome (AWESOME) to think that someone so small can live! They still wouldn't even be born for 7 more weeks if they were to go full term! Of course they are on all kinds of monitors and breathing tubes but as soon as they hear, smell, or feel Mandy all of their stats even right off and they become calm and breathe on their own. It is amazing how well they know/sense their Mommy.
Mandy got to hold them together for the first time. It was just awesome. Here she is after the girls were handed to her:

New video?!?
There is a bit of a misconception about Ezekiel. It would seem that the word on the street is that he is ALWAYS an angel. This is incorrect (sweet of you to think so but incorrect none the less). He may always be cute, but he is certainly not always an angel. This post is dedicated to demything these rumors.
Proof number one. This new screeching-hissy-fit-thingy. He likes to do it - a lot. But you will notice, he likes to do it more with an audience.
Ears bleeding? (you will notice that he looks cute all while sounding like a wounded goat). Now on to our next proof. This is Eek convincing me of stuff. I'm not really sure what he was convincing me of (I think at the time he wanted to pass on the green beans and have a spot of pizza). See the look? He's smart and knows what he wants. He just has to figure out the words.

You say that still isn't enough proof? How's this - he didn't get his own way and he isn't having that much fun playing by himself! /pout

Here, let me spell it out for you. He's c-r-a-b-b-y. The proof is right there for you.

And just one more reminder: always cute.

Happy Birthday Nana!
Happy Birthday to Ezekiel's great-Nana!
Before we had Ezekiel, one of our favorite things to do was set up a makeshift bed on the livingroom floor (couch cushions, a big feather bed, sheets, pillows, etc) and either play Zelda all night or watch movies all night. Since Ezekiel has been born, the makeshift bed has kind of been retired .... until last night! I set up a "special bed" so we could watch Pan's Labrinth and so we wouldn't have to keep running down the hallway when E. cried. Turns out, Ezekiel LOVES crashing in the livingroom on the bed! Here is a pic around 10:00 last night:

My mom does a lot of shopping for sales. She just hit a $1.99 sale at JC Penney for little kids clothes. She decided it would be cute to buy Ezekiel a 3 piece suit. Even though our church is a jeans-wearing-mohawk-sporting-facial-piercing type of place, we dressed him up to go today. He liked it quite a bit *until later on during the day when he pooped ALL over himself at a babyshower*

This next one *may* be my latest favorite picture. We were getting ready to go today and Marty came in and snapped a picture of Ezekiel in his little bath.
